What the Game Is

A 1-4 player online co-op survival horror extraction game in the Poppy Playtime universe. You and your friends play as Smiling Critters trapped in the abandoned Playtime Co. factory, scavenging building materials on the orders of a mysterious Voice — while something hunts you. Maps are procedurally generated, so no two runs play the same.

Price and Editions

Question Answer
Price Not announced — no Steam price, no pre-order page
Free to play? Unconfirmed — community threads ask, Mob has not answered
Editions None announced
1.0 pricing Mob says the price will rise when Early Access ends

Do not trust third-party stores listing a price today — with no official figure, any number you see is a placeholder. Check the Steam page directly.

Placeholder prices are not real

Deal trackers and key shops sometimes show invented prices for unpriced games. Until Mob or Steam lists a number, treat every price as fiction.

What Early Access Includes

Content Confirmed
Playable Critters Full eight-character roster (Steam page wording)
Zones One starter zone at launch, more added during EA
Enemies Core enemy roster at launch
Co-op 1-4 players online, solo supported
Duration About one year of Early Access expected

One conflict to flag honestly: a September press release described 4 Critters at launch with 4 unlockable later, while the Steam page says the full eight-character roster. Both wordings are cited in our CatNap and roster pages — the playtest should settle it.

Hype Check: 100,000 Wishlists

Mob's official social channels announced the game passed 100,000 Steam wishlists alongside the October 1 playtest sign-up call. For a spin-off that was codenamed Experiment 82626 until late August, that is a fast build — and it explains the crowded day-one servers you should expect.

FAQ

What time does Early Access unlock on October 21?

Mob has not announced an unlock time. Steam launches typically go live in the afternoon Pacific Time — check the Steam page on the day.

Is there a pre-load or pre-order?

No pre-order page exists and no pre-load has been announced. Wishlist the game to get notified.

Will progress from the October 1 playtest carry over?

Unconfirmed. Most open betas wipe — assume a wipe unless Mob says otherwise. Details in the playtest guide.

Will the game come to PS5 or Xbox?

Nothing announced. The only confirmed platform is Steam; console plans are in our open questions list.

Should I buy at EA launch or wait for 1.0?

EA buyers get the lower price before the announced 1.0 increase, but expect bugs and one zone. Wait for 1.0 if you want the complete game.
